June 2002, extract from
Guestbook, Tom Taylor, Aberdeen, Scotland, (email
tba) "Wish I was back at Dalmarnock starting all over again. Happy memories--no mobiles, few cars, good old tramcars, holidays to Rothesay, everything, was a learning process taught by very good and well liked teachers. I’ve sent this class photograph taken circa 1946/47. Mr french is the teacher. I think he came to Dalmarnock after his demob from the forces in 1945. I'm sorry but I can't put any other names to the faces. I am top row 3rd from the left. Presently looking thro' the loft for old slides of `Brigton" |
June 2003, extract from e-mail, Richard
Evans, Toronto, Canada In the 1946-47 11-12 yr.olds I recognized Tommy Taylor who also played on the team with Sonny Evans. In that photo on the 3rd row #3 is Jim McHarg and the 4th.row #8 is a lad named Mitchell, I can't remember his first name. Including Henry Pedan, I can count 9 boys that I was in a class with them at one time. |
