"Dear webmaster, first of all I would like to say thank you for adding the photo..........I attended Dalmarnock from 1949-1956  I then went on to John St School until 1959. I used to live in Nuneaton Street until I was 9 yrs old and then we moved to 56 Fairbairn Street we left there when I was 12 to go to Castlemilk. I am married with 1 daughter and 1 grandaughter we live in a village in Leicestershire ......................... I think the website is great and it has brought back lots of happy memories for me. Keep up the good work and once again many thanks. Kind Regards Rebecca."

........... I came up to Glasgow last week and arranged a visit to the school. Mrs Winters made me my husband Keith and my sister Ina very welcome and gave us a tour of the school which was really fantastic.
The old place looks absolutely amazing after all these years, it is kept spotlessly clean too. It was just great to go back into the classrooms where I had spent so many happy days. I also met up with two former classmates Betty Scott and Irvine Boal who I had not seen for 45yr and 48 yrs respectively so that was really brilliant. 
Hope to be able to visit sometime again perhaps end October or early November. Hope that all is well with you perhaps meet up with you next time we are in Glasgow. Kind Regards Rebecca
