"This is a class photo taken cc1963.I'm in the back row beside the headmaster. The teacher I believe got married  and and moved to Thorntree Primary School. I myself left soon after this photo was taken and moved to Shettleston where I attended Eastbank Primary and later the Academy. I am moving to Seattle, USA in 2008.
My earliest memories include attending Queen Mary Street School before going to Dalmarnock. The grey van which delivered the showers we had to use in the playground ( a not so happy memory ). Other memories of the area are the Tannery and the ruins of an old church across from the school gates.
We lived at 156 Boden Street which consisted of 4 closes and a pen. Hollins Mill was across the road and Bernard Street School was further up. At the back and sides the building was hemmed in by Arrols.
My Dad was John Emerson from Bernard St. and my Mother Elizabeth Moffat from the London Rd.
