May 2002.  Joseph Lancaster  sent in this class photograph.
Joe attended Dalmarnock Primary School 1965 to 1972
Joe's mother Jean Emerson attended DPS from 1929-1936 
His big sister Jeanette also attended.
Joe was a member of the 219th Boys Brigade and ran the football team.

"Love your site, particularly as I am an old boy of DPS. 
I lived at 5 Fairbairn street circa 1963-66 and attended the school as a nipper. I think I am in one of the school photos on your site, the one from 1965. I think that is me in the back row second from the left. My name is Robert McAulay and I had tons of family in the Bridgeton area. 
I well remember Mr Wright and Mr Page from school. I can't recall that female teacher in the picture though. I still live in Glasgow, Hillington, and often pass through Dalmarnock on the way to visit my parents who still live in Rutherglen.
The old pic you have of the corner of Dalmarnock Road & Fairbairn Street is where we lived. The shops on the corner would have been Wullie's Dairy and the fruit shop. I have many many fond memories of a poor but happy childhood in Fairbairn street."
