The "Jannie", the "Headie" and the "Teach" guide visitors around the school teaching the history of Scottish education from 1872.

Victorian, Second World War, 1950's and 1960's classrooms depict the changing patterns of education in Scottish schools.

Designed between 1903-6, Scotland Street School was Charles Rennie Mackintosh's last major commission in Glasgow. After major restoration in 1990, it is now a museum of education featuring restored period classrooms and cookery room, a permanent display on the history of Scottish education and a programme of temporary exhibitions and activities. New permanent displays on the history of the building and the installation of a public lift was developed and opened in 2001.
A wonderful history of education in Scotland from 1872 to 1972 with Victorian, Second World War, 1950s and 60s classrooms and an Edwardian cookery room. Varied temporary exhibitions and activities for children.
